When you leave Australia, there’s a departure card you have to fill out for immigration purposes. It has a section for ‘Australian Citizen leaving permanently’. It’s been a whole year of dreaming, planning, and ten days of intense preparation. All for the moment when I wrote UNITED STATES OF AMERICA as my future country of residence. That’s when I started to feel excited for the adventures ahead.
